My college career at MSOE was a wonderful experience. I was able to participate in the German Exchange program and the Formula SAE senior design project, while still graduating in four years. I particularly enjoyed the hands-on experience gained in the labs, and appreciated the early exposure to the labs. The small school atmosphere provided a personal touch, with easy access to professors.

If I could do it differently, I would have taken more business related courses. My plan has always been to go into management, and business classes are invaluable. At the same time, I do not know if the information would have made sense without any real business experience. Especially now in a Sales & Marketing role, I plan to continue my education through and MBA program.

My advice would be for students to maintain an open mind regarding career opportunities. There are many positions in actual engineering roles, but there are also a lot of positions in sales, marketing, purchasing, etc. that people can take advantage of. I could not have found a better career fit than I have in Technical Marketing.
