The food sucks. The fight on campus really was awful. There is a divide between athletes and non-athletes that can be extremely hard to break. There, I've gotten any negative comments about GuilCo out of my system. The faculty is friendly, helpful, intelligent, and caring. I've been invited to the homes and churches of my professors as a first-year student. Campus is beautiful and the people are kind. Most people are friendly and accepting, and know when and how to party. They're smart, they know what they're doing, and they're willing to help. Classes are challenging and require a lot of writing and reading, but they are interesting. Professors don't lecture so much as they start discussions. The outside world is a constant source of material for class. Everything relates to your other classes and will make you think. The school is going through some growing pains, adjusting to larger classes and more diverse people, but the administration is relatively helpful - not always, but sometimes. Retention is a problem, and about a quarter of the class leaves after their first year.I love this place. I would never go anywhere else for college.
