Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
Theres no doubt Creighton is a very good school and known for its great cirriculum, but be sure to consider the financial aspect before you commit to coming here. Frankly, a lot of the time it feels like Creighton is just out for $$..granted they do actually use it to make campus improvements(mall renovation which looks awesome, Hixon-Lied Science building, Opus/Davis/McGloin residence halls, the new Living-Learning center, etc..)but it can be a little overwhelming. The people here are generally very nice, and its almost impossible to not make a close group of friends here right off the bat. While Creighton may not be the most entertaining school of all time, it is still a lot of fun regardless of what type of person you are. If you're into partying and drinking, there are definitely a lot of opportunities to do so. (just dont get caught drinking OFF campus, because then you go through diversion with Douglas County AND get fined by Creighton as well, which is usually accompanied by a fun little reflection paper…I know this from experience..)If you're NOR a big partier, on the other hand, no need to worry…Creighton has PLENTY of kids who are like-minded and still have their own fun. Also, if you aren't Catholic expect to feel very out-numbered and have limited opportunities to answer ANY questions whatsoever in your Theology classes..having said that you wont be alone, as many students here are something other than catholic.Essentially, Creighton is a Mecca for pre-meds with 4.0's and Business majors following in their parents footsteps. Classes are generally pretty competitive and you can expect to find yourself surrounded by intelligent people (with ample noted exceptions). It's a fun place, and the campus is really nice. Like I said just consider the money especially if you aren't going into a pre-pro, science or business major..
