Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
My freshman year in college was quite boring and uneventful, however not a complete waiste. If your looking to have fun, party, and have an overall good time at college Dean is certainly not the place for you. I'm in the last weeks of my first year here and already I am miserable. I did however finish with a 3.8 GPA, which was much better than what I accumulated in high school. Next year I will be attending Hofstra University, an institution I had no chance of being admitted to upon graduating high school. That is the major upside of attending Dean, the opportunity your provided with. The downside of Dean is definetly campus life. Your stuck in Franklin, MA. which is completely shut down at about 8 pm. No bars, clubs, or any where to hang out besides Boston or Providence, which are both about 30 minute drives.Freshman aren't allowed to have cars on campus, sophomores are forced to pay 200$ a semester to have a car on campus. There are a lot of kids from the projects or atleast claim to be from the hood, the ones who aren't are constantly trying to prove to the ones that are who really gangsta that they are too. There is a serious problem with dorm rooms being robbed and belongings being stolen. The cafeteria personifies everything, you literally will think you're in the 1940's, the black kids sit in the front tables, white kids in the back tables. There is little if any class interraction. 98% of Dean students aren't very bright at all and take old high school habbits of being a lump into college and waiste their parents money. Because of low-lifes and immaturity the Residential Advisors are very strict, you can get written up for sneezing the wrong way at Dean. If your strongly considering Dean, my advice to you is to choose community college instead. That option will save you alot of money and aggrevation. If you wanna get away from your parents get a job and find an apartment.
