I would NOT ever recommend even thinking about attending this university!!!

First, Im going to start with my student experience. At first glance, I was impressed with the campus. But as I enrolled and started to attend class, that initial good impression went downhill, fast! Professors dont want to help you, and the ones that do are far and few between. Classes are on the difficult side, so that and many profs not wanting to help you attributes to the high failure rate. Secondly, there is no social life on campus. Im not going to reiterate what others have said so ill leave this commnet as is. Third parking is a farce. OU attempted to fix this problem by creating overflow lots that are a). out of the way b). not very well lit or do not have well lit pathways leading to them. d). Administration and support services are rude and not very helpfull. Overall my experience at OU is less than memorable when college is supposed to be one of the best times of your life!!!

Now, I have a big rant about career services. I have graduated in 2003, and have yet to land my first real job! I know Michigan is in tough time as of late, but OU seems to promise their degrees are like walking on water. Geez, if OU degrees were so well recived, then I should have had a job long ago! OU's claims of 95% or more graduated alumni finding work within 6 months of graduation is a flawed claim, seeing how only less than 20% or graduates only reply to the questionare used to make this claim.

Career Services is a farce, I call them looking for "advice" and they tell me to look on the internet (i.e monster, careerbuilder, etc), check the Sunday Newspapers and visit corporate websites. All stuff that is already common knowledge.

OU is a good road map to failure. If that is what your looking for, then this is the university for you.
