People in Utah are very closeminded. Dixie State College, a beautiful campus in a beautiful town, is definitely the same. The public college is filled with religious comments and banter, and many professors include their religious beliefs in the curriculum. While administration is friendly, it is extremely difficult to accomplish anything with them. The classes are not difficult, and are filled with busy work. However, transferring credits from Dixie State into any other college is difficult, so I am going to complete an Associate's before transfering out of state. The faculty are friendly and helpful, but they are stuck in a closeminded atmosphere, and that definately brings the entire community down.
