Southwestern was a great experience for me. I found the professors to be wonderful—they truly did care about you as a student and encouraged your professional growth. I had one professor in particular (who is no longer at SU) who was critical to my professional success. He taught me how to be analytical, to formulate my thoughts quickly and write. I have had many people comment on my ability to write, and I believe 95% of the credit goes to that professor. Southwestern changed me.

It's not to say SU is perfect. It's not—neither is any college. The hardest part of my education at SU was being a Latina. According to some students, that's changed. According to others, it hasn't. It is what you make it.

I was touched and challenged by some brilliant professors who encouraged my intellectual curiousity. As others have said—no, the social life is not all that. If you come for an education, I truly believe there are few places better. It combines intellectual rigor with professors who truly care.
