Rice University is a great place to study. It's small but that can have its advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is that you get to know faculty members very well, hence more personal attention at times. The disadvantage is that if you don't like or get along with someone, chances are you will still have to work with them sooner or later because there isn't anyone else. For international students, note that it isn't really a very international type of institution even though there are foreign students. But everyone is welcoming and friendly, including the International Office. I enjoy Rice because the standards are very high, and the facilities are well-maintained.
