I don't know why this school has such a mediocre reputation. I attended from 1995-2000, in the midst of the school's financial troubles. I knew the campus was fairly small from the high school tour. What I didn't know was there was a housing shortage, which they have addressed in the years after my graduation. Many commuting students did not stay for extra-curricular activities. The key to college life in my opinion is to get involved in campus life regardless of commuter or resident status.

The English department had very small classes, which I believe helped me grow a lot. Then there is the Wroxton College experience, which I think is serverly underused. Greek life is lacking, I would've joined a fraternity if they had more than three. But other than that, I had good experiences there.
