Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
As an out-of-state student from Washington, I had many ideas what the University of Hawaii at Manoa would be like. And to my surprise, UHM was something different altogether.
The campus is older, weathered from the tropical climate, but blessed by the climates flora just the same. Don't expect cathedrals and stone staircases, but expect Palm trees, Ironwoods, Monkey Pods, and Rainbow Eucalyptus. The University is what you make of it, and best of all, it comes at a great price. The Education is great, if you join for its esteemed facilities and programs. While I wouldn't go here for English or Law, I would go for it's great programs in Architecture, Marine Biology/Biology (one of the best in the nation, with many laboratories around the island), Botany (UH is a botanical garden), Astronomy, Second Languages, and Division I-A Football.
