Date: Jun 29 2007 Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time) Let me give you perspective from someone who has crossed a few bridges and gained many more life experiences than most of the young posters. I would trade WCU for nothing, not Duke, not Yale. You get out of your education and your life, what you put into it. Never once when interviewing for a job or doing a big deal was I asked my GPA or frowned upon about where I attended school. In fact, the best break I got was when the interviewer noticed I had a Masters from WCU. I came from blue collar, mtn., rural background, no one in family tree had graduated a 4 yr. institution. There are MANY white collars who FROWN upon big school, and fraternity member applicants. I have hired and fired many people, 20 years worth, I hire the individual , not the school. The number 1 thing I look for is ATTITUDE. Give me a 2.5 gpa with a great drive and attitude and I will kick the Yale 4.0 9 out of 10 times.Western's small classes, rural location, family type atmosphere helped me tremendously. From dead broke when leaving college, I could have semi-retired at 33, retired at 40 and I was not part of the dot.com. boom. You can find the drunks and the party at any school or town you go to, I suggest you don't find it.
