While LeTourneau has a decent liberal arts department, it is underfunded and, in my opinion, not taken seriously by the university. Everyone at the school knows most students come for an engineering/technical degree, and other departments suffer. Had I not made incredible friends before becoming an English major, I would have switched universities.

If you are considering a liberal arts major, I'd encourage you to check other schools. LETU's offerings are limited. The community can be great, but it doesn't last that long. An excellent education is more important.

LETU is a conservative Christian college, and it occasionally felt like that worldview was being forced down the throats of the students. Some alumni may disagree, but I felt that view was rarely challenged in classes or elsewhere on campus. If you do enroll, seek out people with differing opinions on theology, politics, morality, and everything else. Listen and discuss your opinions, and try to keep an open mind.
