Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
As a female student, I feel very unsafe here. I'm also extremely upset with the quality of the business school and faculty. There are numerous crimes which occur by locals on students which go unreported. The University will have you believe otherwise such as Don't buy it—the town is overcrowded and not a safe place. The locals are NOT nice people. If you happen to go to a party, do not call Security to escort or drive you home because they will bust you! And that would count as two strikes against you. Hence, parties are driven underground.Campus police have the same authority as state police and the Univeristy is dead set on kicking students out who get caught with any infraction, even playing music. This is a seriously oppressive environment. Fraternties and Sororities take pledges on buses, out of Newark, and party in Elkton, Maryland!Your Dorm RA's are instructed to look for students who have been drinking. If they even suspect you, they will call campus police who will arrest you on suspicion.Think real serious and hard about coming here. There are safer schools with better business programs.Oh by the way, the Business School uses many part time instructors. Hence out of the 10 or so Biz courses I've taken, 8 of them were taught by part timers. Theweren't PhD's!Courses in Biz school are challenging and UD seems to scale how many A's, B's, and C's they give out. Can't tell if that's fair or not.If you do go, try to take your math, science, and stat courses somewhere else and transfer them in. WHy? Most of the faculty teaching these courses can't speak English!
