I enjoyed my experience at BBC. It has been said that we get what we look for, and I was fully expecting a great time. The facutly was especially helpful - opening their homes for studying/hanging out, giving good advice, and just simply being there for us when we needed them. As an off-campus student, it was a bit more difficult to get involved with the rest of campus, but not inpossible. I found some of the rules out-dated, but overall, many helped me build discipline that has helped me do very well in my field of endeavor. I would rather someone hold the bar high rather than basically say "whatever" when it comes to discipline. Many parents would agree too that the organization is there to look after their son or daughter while they foot the bill! While a small school, they work very hard at doing things well. The school's purpose is to equip us for full-time ministry, not to help us get high-paying jobs, so much of the focus is on helping us see the example of serving others - really, one of the most important things in life that we'll ever attempt to learn. As far as the student body, I do not like to generalize. No matter where you go, there will be both those you like and those you don't. I get along with almost everyone - maybe even popular - but found that there were groups that stuck together to the exclusion of others. This is just normal life for those in their late-teens and early-twenties. I've been to a lot of campuses though, and this is one of the most caring student-bodies out there.Academically, I did well, being on either the merit list or deans list almost every semester. It is not the grades that matter though, but rather how much we each personally put into the work. Some found it easy to get good grades, while many did not. There is much beneath the surface of a good education, and I feel I found it there. I plan to go back for some more classes when the opportunity presents itself.
