Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
For the most part I had an overall good experience at Tech. I came to the college w/o the scientific background I really needed because I was almost a high school dropout. But the military and life changed my attitude about things. When I matured and decided I was ready for college, Tech gave me the opportunity I needed. I started out in a low math level and struggled throughout my college career, but with determination and the help of a few certain professors I am now a Profession Engineer. It has not been an easy path but one that I am proud to have taken. There were a few times I almost gave up, but as I stated before, a few certain professors had the patience to help guild me. If you are looking to learn, I would recommend Tech. It was one of the better rated schools while I was there (Feb.'97-Dec.'01). As far as things to do, there's not much of a nightlife 'cept for the occasional frat parties. I'm more of an outdoors person, so I really enjoyed it there. Fayetteville just a few minutes away for rafting, camping and mt. biking. I am a mt. biker so I spent alot of time on Tech. Mt and the fireroads behind Dairy Queen when I needed a break. Kanawha Forest is about 40 minutes away and I still plan camping trips there every year. Tech even sponsored me and another student racing in the WVMBA series.
