I have mixed feelings about Brooks. The time i spent there was great and bad at the same time. I got a chance to live in california, met some cool people, and to this day i miss the time I spent there, however academically I didn't really learn much. Sure I learned some things about design programs i didn't know, but nothing i couldn't have learned on my own from a book from borders in a relatively short amount of time. and forget about math, science, and english. I learned more in high school already. The facility was pretty crappy, but I was lucky enough to get a decent quality room, so i enjoyed living there. The faculty was not too much help and seemed like they were just going to work; didn't really care about the students. My roommate had a horrible time with the financial department and is still struggling to pay his loans. As far as getting a job after graduation, they were of no help at all. And as it turns out I could have gotten the design job i have now without having attended Brooks at all. But I guess none of this matters since it'll be closing in 2009 and I doubt they are accepting new students anymore.
