Although the college prides itself on diversity, there is a feeling that it is crammed down the throats of its students.  If you are white or hispanic there will be plenty of other students that look like you but there aren't many black students.  I like the small class sizes, but it can be really limiting to only have two or three instructors within the major.  Adjunct profs can be nightmarish and even some of the tenured ones (all doctors) can be annoying.  Overall, Whittier gives one a decent education but it's really what the student makes of it.  This is not a party school and has no nationally recognized frats; its more of a kick it in the dorms kind of campus.  But if you have friends with a car Hollywood and Santa Monica is only 30 mins drive, so you have other options off-campus.  Also, the school doesn't have its own study abroad programs, with the exception of Denmark, becuase it is so small.
