Two words to describe the Wittenberg student body is socially conservative, as you would expect from a religious university. Yet surprisingly enough, many of the profesors had left wing ideas. The food was good. Springfield was good, and offered me a chance to see what an average American town was like. I found the locals to be friendly and down to earth, unlike the Wittenberg students who were stuck up, clicky, and closed minded. In fact, going into town was my way of getting away from the Wittenberg crowd. What I didn't like about the Wittenberg students was that they were almost all alcoholic, and the ones who weren't were religious extremists who lived and preached the bible 24-7. The people who were in between usually spent their time away from campus. Regardless of whether they were religious extremists or alcoholics, one thing they had in common was they usually came from spoiled backgrounds. I won't get too much into how their parents do everything for them, but I will tell you this. It wouldn't be uncommon for students to go to class drunk or drugged up. One of my profesors even mentioned that students take their education for granted. Their parents pay $30 000 for their tuition, yet many of them skip class half the time.

As other contributors have mentioned, the dorms are quite dirty. Students frequently knocked over bins and left the toilets a mess. People would cut their hair and leave the sink full of hair. I also agree that Wittenberg is a bubble and quite isolated from the city of Springfield which can be either a good or bad thing considering the students socioeconomic background. If you are from a rich suburban background then the bubble is a safe haven for you.
