Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
This place is not worth for consideration at any level of graduate study in engineering and science. You will be wasting your very valuable research time and energy if you happen to give credit to the idea of spending a few years in Louisville, with the hope of focusing on your own work while enjoying a reasonable cost of life.Soon you start witnessing instances promoting incompetency on a daily basis. That is why it is almost impossible to carry on with a broader prospect upon graduation. No matter what you do, a high-profile employer would be very reluctant to hire you for you are from UofL, and, what is worse is that you cannot actually blame them. Especially the students considering a reputable academic career should stay away from this place. Just check how many UofL alumni are listed on the faculty boards of Top 100 universities. Actually, it would be interesting to know how many academic careers has the UofL initiated at all. In fact, most of the PhD programs should be terminated just for this reason.Research quality is in a miserable situation. Faculty and staff who think they are doing research in engineering are only fooling themselves, their peers, students, and some state legislators. A brief inspection of faculty publications shows that self-plagiarism is a common practice here.In short, do not ruin your research career by giving credit to fancy pictures and cheap advertisements.
