I've been to 5 different schools in my great college career and of all the schools i have been to Green Mountain holds a special place in my heart.  I don't think I will ever go to a school as unique as GMC.

The students are very friendly, intelectual, and open minded.  In fact, the whole school is open minded.  You can walk around naked, and nobody cares.  In fact there is an official unofficial streaking team.  You can skinny dip in the river or play naked frisbee.  People of all different shapes, sizes and sexual orientations are accepted within the GMC community.

The typical student at GMC is an open minded, free spirited person .  We have hippies, stoners, health nuts, nature freaks and everyone else.

The area of Poultney is small but nice.  Rutland is half an hour away and killington an hour.  The are things to do in Rutland if you are bored and the winter snow brings the skiing season in.

The education quality at GMC is a mixed bag.  It is a great school if you are into the enviorment or outdoor recreation, but i found it to be poor in my department (communications).

There are many student clubs and it is easy to get involved on campus.  However if you like city life, you will hate GMC.

Also check out the Flying Squirrels- our frisbee team.  It is a fun sport to play.

Overall i think Green Mountain it a good school for People who want a job dealing with the enviorment, but the other deparments need work.
