Some random thoughts 20+ years after life at PC: I have never regretted my choice in attending PC. Having said that, did I receive a good education? Yes. Did I chose the right major? No. But, hey - you're 18, on your own, what the hell do you really know about the outside world? Liberal arts is great if you're def planning on grad school - which I did, thank God. PC got me into the #2 Nationally ranked MPA program (and still is). If you're going to stay in the South - and by that I mean South Carolina, Georgia and limited parts of North Carolina, the PC name pays off. It's a beautiful campus. My only concern of late (as an alumni) is the huge - and I do mean huge - investment that PC has made in athletics. My last trip through campus looked like an ad for Abercrombie where all the dudes where on steroids. But maybe that's the way all colleges look these days. Suffice to say, it's a hard-core, Southern, prep and jock school, the fraternities still rock (hell yeah!), Clinton still sucks as a town, and you can transition easily from your public or private HS to PC with little or no effort. But *watch out*: PC is as tough as everyone says it is. It maybe full of jocks and preps - but they're damn smart ones.
