I was in the top 10% of my high school class with a 3.4 GPA. I worked hard and was well rounded (community service/part-time job, extracurriculars). Spelman instills the pride of being a Black woman, although the school does some amount of censorship. Administration is slow, as with all HBCUs! The opportunities for a black female are endless and well worth it. I had the option of going to several ivies but am glad I chose Spelman. I would definitely say it is worth the experience…the name, networking, and academic stimulation.
