For the most part I would agree with you. The DLP program is cheaper and better allows one to pursue a degree while making a decent living in any location they choose. Making a decent living in Lynchburg is quite a challenge.I've had a couple hiccups getting in touch with instructors, but for the most part the DLP is a decent way to go. |
What type of money should you plan on for books for the online schooling |
It depends on your courses. I received a free $100 voucher per-course because I was active duty military. For a full-time class load, I'd guess $250-400. |
I am really considering the DLP. I read the reviews of the on-campus students and was about to change my mind. I am now reconsidering applying after reading your post. I am thinking about working on my Eds in Education. I think my main concern is of the biases they talk about as far as from a Christian standpoint. Is that just oncampus, you think? Is there a way we can maybe talk through e-mail? _email_removed_ |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I have been studying through the Distance Learning Program and have been impressed so far. The faculty is helpful and I have never had to wait for an answer to any question I have asked. The course content has been the same as a traditional on campus program. The only difference is that I have to be more self-disciplined in order to succeed. I would say that it is easier to fall behind in a DLP course than an on campus course. All-in-all this has been a good experience.
