I'm an older student returning to school after 20 years. ACC has been great for me. Through the Fresh Start program, I'm able to use ACC to earn admission to UT later. The courses at ACC have been a mix of quality. Some good, some only so so. I would suggest using pickaprof.com to research the professors first to find those who are the best teachers in the classes you need to take. Tuition is a bargain compared to UT. This is a community college, so know before hand many are only here because their parents made them or they don't know what else to do with their lives. Many are not committed to doing well in class. Don't expect to be stimulated by classmates. The professors have all been extremely friendly and helpful. The class sizes are small enough for you to have plenty of opportunity to interact with them for extra help.
