Major: Anthropology (This Major's Salary over time)
As an urban public school, the diversity and varied views of both the student body and faculty keeps you open-minded and critically conscientious. Compared to the private colleges in this area (yes, I've attended one of those too) this school is much more authentic and practical. If you attend this school you'll find yourself in the peers of single moms, new immigrants, "older" working people, married people, people who've been places, people who've done things and professors who are passionate and cares about you. You'll be with the salt of the earth, not the pretentious kids who were born with silver spoons up their a*$. You will be intellectually stimulated and you will feel like you have something to give back. So there are no fancy sport teams or fraternities and sororities. The student body moves beyond that. We are involved with our external communities which includes people outside of the university, people who needs more than a football team or a Toga party.
