Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
E-town is a good school. Not great; but good.

Some of the older residence halls are getting upgrades, and new facilities are being built which are pretty nice. Food is great for the first year but then after it all kinda gets boring. The student center and the library are pretty nice facilities.

Majors like OT, education (elementary ed. not secondary.), and business tend to be the "prized" majors of the school. The psychology department is pretty good (the faculty is really helpful). Engineering has a lot of required classes that don't actually have anything to do with their major. Communications is a joke unless you are one of the 5 students who actually take seriously. English majors don't have much of a selection of classes. If you're looking to go into fine arts, go to an art school. Max class sizes tend to be in the 35 student range.

There are 2 girls for every guy. Social life around here has gotten a lot worse between last year and this year. This also goes along with feeling safe on campus. Campus and security are becoming much more strict with parties and drinking to the point where they almost go overboard. People are afraid to go out anymore or have parties because of all of the recent events. Much of the student population actually goes home for the weekend. The administration doesn't deal with problems effectively and so the student body has to pay for it. The actual town isn't what most people think a college town would be. There is not much going on. You have to travel to find a good bar. The actual people who live in the town tend to not be so supportive of the actual college or the students. Joining or being recruited to a sport is really helpful when it comes to friends and actually having a social life on weekends. This also goes for a lot of the clubs on campus.

There is NO football team which is a bummer for those of you who come from a high school that thrived on it. Men's soccer becomes the main sport during the fall. Games against our rival (Messiah) tend to be great games to go to, mostly for pelting the other team and their fans with marshmallows. The women's soccer, volleyball, field hockey, cross country, track, and lacrosse teams tend to be really competitive within the conference.

There are some ups and downs that the brochures, website, and tours never tell you.

If it wasn't for playing a sport and friends here and some of the faculty, I would probably transfer to another school just to have a better social life and do more with art/photography.
