I am almost finished with my doctoral program at Walden and have to say that overall it has been a good experience. Many people like myself, with full time jobs and life demands, could never pursue higher education if we were limited to traveling to and from a regular institution. So many traditional universities are now offering several courses online, if not full degree programs. Being among the first to tap into technology at the accredited graduate school level, does not make Walden a diploma mill, nor make the degrees awarded useless. Over my 30 year business career I have graduated with two other graduate degrees from brick and mortar schools - Walden is easily comparable with a traditional university.

Probably written by an employee of Walden. No one will go to a doctor whose degree was earned online, with little or no supervision. Imagine teaching yourself to play piano using sheet music only. That's the Walden degree, Doctor.

And you are supposedly an authority on what credentials a person earns once they have obtained an degree from Walden???It amazes me how one person's negative experience (which in almost EVERY case is because they THEMSELVES didn't do the research BEFORE they decided to attend Walden on what they were looking for in a program…)somehow negates EVERYONE who had an positive experience at Walden. Sorry don't buy it…one can say they had a negative experience at Harvard and now EVERYONE who attends there will have that same experience?? ? My advice to you is GROW UP and take responsibility for your own successes and failures in life and don't DEGRADE others whose life/educational experiences are more positive than yours!!!

What i want to know is with a PHD online from Walden, has it been or is it difficult to get a job? Do employers value this less bc it was a phd earned online? Pls HELP! I am interested in applying for the program. Thank you!
