Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I loved the town of Corvallis, Oregon. It is your typical "college town". Where everyone in town gathers for the home football game and you see "Go BEAVERS!" on every street corner. Safe, quiet and mellow. About an hour drive from Eugene, and two hours to Portland. Corvallis is limited to night life (a few popular bars) AND there is NO SHOPPING. I hated driving (all the way) to Portland just to browse the malls. Some frat parties that ends with the police citing everyone with MIP's (Minor in posession)…Oregon State itself was a wonderful college. The College of Business was a fair experience. Although their curriculum needs improvement. Courses offered were diverse, but no hands on approach to learning. The COB counselors were snotty and not that helpful. Although, the professors were always there if you needed them. Classes averaged at forty students, some lecture halls at a hundred plus. It took me 5 years to graduate from the COB. Their requirements to grad. is at least a 2.5 gpa in each core group. You will understand that this is not as simple as it may sound…Overall, the campus was BEAUTIFUL. Some buildings needs improvements. Some classes in the Liberal Arts College seemed ancient, but i survived :) Dining on campus was great. Variety of dorms offered, all located in the middle or surrounding campus. LOT'S of school spirit! Great people and friendly faces. Winter in Corvallis is miserable! But Spring and Summer is worth it!
