Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
This research school provides a solid education and is growing rapidly. The academics are very competitive, especially in the science and music departments. UNCG is also highly multicultural and diverse, making it well-rounded. On top of this, it just spent millions of dollars on its science department. As a Biology major with a concentration of pre-med, I feel very comfortable being part of this university. The professors are all graduates of prestigious schools such as Duke and Harvard; almost all have their doctorates as well. I feel North Carolina is the center of medicine and the UNC system, as a whole, is one of the best state systems in the country. You may disagree, but I can assure you that the students coming out of Chapel Hill and Greensboro are well enriched.
