Keene State has a reputation of being a major party school… Keene definitely has its fair share of streets marinated in alcohol, but that shouldn't lessen the schools' reputation - I think there is a challenging education to be had if you are looking for it.The school is pretty light on the paperwork and bureaucracy compared to other schools of its size - classes are smaller and there are a lot of resources available on campus. The surrounding community is, for a smaller town, a decent one… there's plenty of entertainment, shopping and work in town and within walking distance of the campus. The college really is a huge part of the town's identity, even if townspeople don't want to think so.
