COA is a very unique school, and therefore it will not fit the majority of students. If you are self-driven, compassionate and creative, and just generally not sure of what you want to do, then you would succeed at COA. If not, the shortage of classes, limited resources and intimate campus might get to you. Personally, I love the college. Social life has to be self-started, but the students are all very friendly and interesting people, and the same goes for the faculty.

Location wise, COA sits on 32 acres of beautiful waterfront. After all, it is on an island. Bar Harbor is close by, but most of it shuts down in the winter.
