I have spent one semester here, and one semester is more than enough. This is the biggest joke of a college institution I have ever been to. While my professors have been fairly nice, most either lack good teaching skills, or just simply don't teach nearly enough.

The last four tests I have taken (which are between three classes) have all had classes averages of 62% or lower, and for some reason, the professors are content with that. Some of them have great teaching skills, but they don't teach nearly enough. The gap between what they teach/what the books teach and the tests/homeworks is far too great. It's kind of like being taught how to doggy paddle and then being thrown in middle of a lake. I study to a point where I barely have any free time and don't even have the time for a job, but I still make lousy grades because the tests often feature problems that were never even discussed.

The campus is has far too few resources as well. Computer labs are few and far between, so you're lucky to find one that isn't being used, especially because a third of them are usually out of order anyway. And if you can live on campus, do it, because parking and traffic is a nightmare.

Then there are the tons of smaller things that I could say, but would take way too much time and space. Overall, I transferred to IUPUI to try and save money, but I think I would have rather been in debt for the rest of my life. You get what you pay for, I guess. I can't wait for this semester to be over so I can transfer again to a real institution.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money here. There are many other schools in the state that I can only imagine are far better than IUPUI.
