facilities are quite good and many of them are new
beautiful campus
parking (yeah, I said it) All these people that complain so much about parking have never been to another school I guess. Parking at KSU is no worse than anywhere else and you will have to walk a little bit to get to class as millions of other college students have to do.A lot of really cool people thereIt is getting better and better every year in almost all aspects.Good variety of people (students here are less culturally "southern" than at many other large state schools in the South)On-campus housing is quite niceEven though there are 21,000 students there, it feels much smaller than that and you always run into people that you know when walking around campus.Located in a very safe area.
the bad:
athletics are not very good/no footballSome departments could be more challengingSome professors are lazy, not good at their job, don't challenge you enough
not a lot of things to do in Kennesaw in terms of going out at night
not enough campus life
not enough majors or classes to take in comparison to other schools of its sizeSome people are not excited to be there at all and can't wait to leave. Many people just do their own things and are not concerned with campus eventsAcademics could be strongerKSU is not really respected or known outside of GeorgiaOverall, you are reading this because you didn't get into UGA, who does anymore? If you are trying to make a decision between ksu, ga state and ga southern like I was I think ksu is a great choice. Georgia State is doing some thigs to make their campus more attractive, yet I dont think it is quite there yet, and georgia southern is in statesboro, a small town in south georgia which is definitely not somewhere I wanted to go. KSU is not great in terms of being one of the best schools in the country academically, nor is it great in terms of campus life. Yet, there are 21,000 students there and you can make your own fun there, it just takes a little more effort than it would in athens where you have 50 bars across the street from campus. All these people with the completely negative comments are just bitter that they couldn't go to uga and refuse to make the best of the situation. You can have fun at ksu and it is not nearly as bad as some people here have been making it out to be. Overall, if you are form georgia and cant get into uga, then ksu is a fine place to attend and is really affordable so you will still have money if you decide to go to law school or graduate school. In my opinion, more people just need to accept the fact that they are at KSU and not their first choice school and realize that they are around 21,000 young people everyday and try to make the best of the situation because you can have a lot of fun at KSU it just takes a little work on your part.
