Making the decision to go to Salve was the best decision that I have ever made. Being from a completely different part of the country, I was afraid at first that I would find that I had thrown myself into the middle of a freshman class that went to school together and had already formed a clique. That was not the case. I have made so many wonderful friends. Everyone there is very friendly. The campus is a dry campus and the RAs will fine you if liquor is found in the dorms. There are often a lot of on campus parties that are a lot of fun. Also, the campus activity board has great weekend trips that are very fun and cheap. This year, there were trips to New York to see the Lion King on Broadway, rock climbing trips, and white water rafting just to name a few. There are also a lot of concerts that are held on campus throughout the year. I am not able to go home very often and I have found that a lot of other students stay on campus too. There is always something to do. Boston and Providence are easily accessible and we go there a lot to escape for the weekend and go out. All of the faculty members are extremely helpful and make themselves available if you ever have problems. Salve has a beautiful campus, wonderful people and excellent academics. Salve is challenging, but the professors do not make courses impossible. One of the great things about Salve is that individual attention is given to every student. The classes are very small so if you are absent from class, everyone knows. Salve is really a great place.
