I am a first year graduate student from out of state and I rather enjoy W&M. However, I do not think I would have enjoyed it as an undergraduate because of the lack of diversity and things to do around Williamsburg. But, having already had my 4 years of "the college experience" at a Big Ten university, I was ready for a smaller, quieter, more serious educational experience. I find the faculty exceptionally helpful and approachable, but I am not sure if that extends to the undergraduate population or not. Some people have commented that there is "not something for everyone," but that is not true, you just might have to put some effort into finding your niche. If I can find a group of non-religious leftists on campus, you too can find what you are looking for.
