this school is truly academic.  i have many friends at a four year college that really insult the institutions academic challenges and man are they wrong.  this school is extremely diversified.  you will find all kind of cultures, religions.....what i like most about this school is the students and professors, the the small classes (usually 20-24 student/class).  these small classes help you focus and really participate.  the professors love these small environments.  they form this special relationships with their students, they become your friends.  i had three professors that came to my house for dinner and 1, which i would say was like my best friend.  he tells me about his personal life, drive me home cuz he lives abput 2 mile away from where i live.  you really get confortable with your professors.  Be advised though, there is those teachers that can be jerks pretend to be fun caring teacher but do not care if your not doing well “it's like oh well you're gonna have do to well on your next exam or you flunk!!  type of teachers.  Eventually screws up your GPA.  that means you have a little research to do to avoid those!!  The sole purpose of 90% of students which by the are really smart is learning.  so you get immersed in that environment.  they are really friendly and helpful.  the school has a lot resources and the students are involved.  also the funny thing about these small classes is, you yourself can involve the entire class with a simple proposition because they are all willing to do it but you know how it is.  first week of school, virtually everyone is timid .  ok the down side of this school or most 2 year colleges is social life sux, you need to live near by the school cuz no dorms, you'll see older people but they are friendly but it's kinda weird if you're young because you can not talk about retard stuff..you know...they don't get it...and vise versa.

one advice, first i'm a student that was accepted MIT, U PENN, U miami in high school.  the reason i didn't go was personal but not academically...because 4 year student have the perception that community college students are not smart so that's why they are going there.  that is sad for people that think that way.  i'm thankful i didn't transfer to universities because i saved A LOT OF MONEY...LOTS but the time has come for me transfer.  i learned more than i would have at a 4 year college because of these small classes.  a professor can come at you full force because this professor is confident that he/she has thought you well.  all i can say is if your graduating high school take a peek at a 2 year colleges look though what they have to offer( i'm speaking for all community colleges) n you will save money.  don't ignorant.  like any 4 year universities there are bad 2 year college so do research for a good one.  conclusion Montgomery college ROCKS!!
