Is it that bad to be a girl on campus? |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
Look don't buy into the hype about being number 1 in the Nation for Aerospace Education and expect something amazing. I personally feel the Education I received for the past 2.5 years has been piss poor, so bad that it was one the last straws why I decided to pack up everything and make a change. I was enrolled int he AMS program and went through the maintenance training and switched my major to Aerospace Science. School is important but so is the balance of a social life and outside events/activities off campus. I was part of an athletic team, not intramurals and I must say I was extremely disappointed. Other than the athletic scene the social scene completely blows. I knew the girl/guy ratio wasn't good when I got accepted but I thought it was something I could deal with thinking that at least most people would be pretty open/chill. Adding the whole ROTC thing into the equation I feel like there is some weird social scene going down with a pretty unfriendly vibe. If your a chick looking into this school, look else where unless you like to be harassed 24/7 by every dude on campus who plays videogames every second they aren't in class. I met more people from not only ERAU but other schools in the Orlando area since you need to get out the Daytona area to get a sense of reality again. Equally important, Daytona is a complete dump/trash area. Its a trash hole that has no city life and the worst clubs. There are no good looking chicks on beachside the beach is a tourist trap. The beaches are garbage and the area is filled with bums. There are public schools that are much larger, have a better social scene, and offer similar degrees for cheaper than ERAU. I personally feel going to ERAU for the past 2.5 years has been the biggest mistake/waste of time and stoked to transfer to get back with reality.
