I am a student from the state of California. I received scholarships from UCLA, UCB, Cal State, and many others. I have Mizzou alumni family members that life here with me and suggested I give them a call to see what kind of scholarships they could offer me. a few weeks later, I got a call back from them asking me to make a campus visit and I was to come in for an interview. So my family (who didn't mind at all) gave up the money for a airplane ticket and a one week trip to Columbia. I got there and I was very surprised of hour nice everything looked! I went through a tour, hung out with students for the entire week, and then I went back home. One week later they had my application, I was accepted with a full ride. I am very happy with the choice I made. This University utilizes top-notch facilities to provide excellent education for it's students.

Dear Pre-Med student,
I have been accepted to MU, and I have received the Mizzou Scholars scholarship (second only to the full ride you received)-congrats! :) I just visited MU for the first time yesterday, and I fell in love! My only concern is- how well it will prepare me for medical school. I've read that students cannot fully participate in their own undergraduate research until their junior year. I hope to matriculate into a highly-ranked university for Medical school- will Mizzou be able to get me there? Do you know how students typically score on the MCATS?
