C.W. Post was not my first choice, but when it came down to it I decided I would give it a shot. I had a great time at orientation, but college is not always the same as orientation. People can be very rude and condescending, and the fact that it is a huge commuter school really makes it hard to find friends. The campus really does shut down on the weekends, you can walk for some time and not see anyone. The only people I know that are truly happy are the athletes who spend all their time with their teams, and people in greek life who spend all their time with their frat brothers or sorority sisters. I am planning on transferring out because I need more of a social life than this campus can offer, and because it is not at all selective about who it admits. If you had even a semi decent average in high school you will have no problem getting in. Also, be forewarned that it is an incredibly small campus and anyone you meet will already know someone else you know. If this is what you want, you will have a great time!!
