Dickinson College

I am a current sophomore and I have many things I like about Dickinson; however, there are a few gripes. One thing I like about Dickinson is the dorms.. they get progressively better (with apartments/houses for groups of seniors who choose to stay on campus), and although they are the standard cinderblock, they have lots of storage room (for outofstaters ) the Dickinson Public Safety (DPS) has become more lenient over the years (good!) and socially if you are on a sports team/frat/sorority you'll always have something to do, and those that don't wish that route there is also a fairly good alternative scene with special houses like tree-house/music/classics/religious/women's studies houses. There are no real fraternity/sorority houses like in the south though just townhouses around the campus. Dickinson is relatively small, and can be difficult to "get away" from it, but Carlisle is insanely centrally located from D.C., Baltimore, Philly, and NYC is a real hike. I also really like the study abroad opportunities.. you can go basically anywhere, which normally happens junior year.The professors are also extremely approachable and eager to help from my experience (biochem major/spanish minor). The school is very beautiful in Spring and fall, but it does have a tendency to rain too much in autumn. All in all I'm happy with my decision
