I
didn't appreciate my ASC experience until I spent a few
years at a research I. In my opinion it is
vital for undergraduates to have access to faculty. This is
not an experience you can have at a UC. For
that alone my years at Agnes Scott were well worth
the money.
As an undergraduate I was a little annoyed
at how overzealous Public Safety seemed. But now that I
have been the “real” world and been the victim of
real crimes, I now wish I were back at ASC.
That was probably the last time I felt truly safe
and at ease. Enjoy the freedoms of personal security while
you can.
The food — all I can say is
outstanding! Again, didn't realize how good I had it. Cooking
is hard! I dream that someday the food at my
current institution will match the quality of the “slop” ASC
served us at Sunday lunch.
With a few years of
perspective, I realize how wonderful of an experience I had.
Wish I could go back. I can't believe I've turned
into that soppy alumna.
