Listen, If you are an artist, than CCAD has everything you would ever want. Tons of studio space, all the facilities you need, and the teachers are very approachable. They expect you to be passionate, and open minded. Anyone who complains about the foundation year is simply closed minded. I am majoring in INDUSTRIAL DESIGN, and absolutely love it. The program here is not focused on transportation, so if you are interested in that, go to CIA, Art Center, or whatever. But I can tell you that CCAD's Industrial Design department is now one of the most well funded programs in the country, with connections with some of the largest design firms in the world, for example FITCH. CCAD has just purchased a huge building devoted to the major which will make it one of the largest anywhere. I will say that the work is gruiling, and often you will feel like you are jumping through hoops when doing projects. In retrospect, the teachers are primarily concerned that you are a well rounded designer, that you do ALL the research behind an idea, analize markets, and demographics and develope all those analitical skills to back up even the simplist concept. Columbus is also a great place for design, there are many many many firms located here.
