I got my masters pretty quick because I found out right away that nobody was impressed that I was certified out of TLU. I'm now in a doctoral program, but am really leaning towards taking my degree and going in the corporate world. I found out that in the public school system they don't care where you got your degree…just as long as you're certified. I could have saved $1000's by just going to UTSA…my TLU degree wasn't useless, it just didn't help me any more than if I had graduated from UT/Brownsville. So if you want to be a teacher, save your money kiddos and go to a public school.
