Yes, there are some irritating, pseudo-hippie rich kids who think think highly of their entitlement. However, CU is a large school and I am being honest when I say you can find your niche. there are plenty of being who think uggs and coach shit are passe. and if you're into greek life, it's there. but a lot of people think it's lame. the parties are better on the hill anyway (where a lot of student housing is).

The partying mindset is prevalent and most people ski, but I am having a kickass time practicing moderation and merely looking at the mountains.

Academically, you get what you put in. There is the potential to get a really great education. Just work hard, engage with the material, make it your priority. Or don't do shit, and depending on your major, you will probably turn out alright.

So far I have really liked my professors and material. The students in my classes vary, but overall most seem fairly apathetic. If you aren't on that wavelength, you may have to seek out like-minded students, but it's really not a big deal. The school is big.

Boulder is tight. beautiful. i'm always in a good mood when i wander around. coming out of state is a little absurd. unless your family can afford it. then all power to you. fun school, some shitty kids, but generally pretty decent. academics have endless potential. it's all about what you want.
