Major: Engineering Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I have attended this university for an entire term now, and can say with full confidence that i have seen all it has to offer. The people at this university are for the most part, pretty easy to get along with. The academics at this school are top-notch, but the problem with this univesity comes solely out of the social aspect. This university is a dry campus, which the campus police enforce with full might. Since the campus is dry, it attracts dry-people, who have been known to nark out people who want a good education, and to have a good time. Unless you go to the frats, or party quitely in your dorm room you might as well be reading a book on any given night. While i have noticed that the extent of the description of the police seems extreme, it is not off par. If you choose to walk home from the frats after a night of fun, the police will stop you and give you a breathilizer. Recap- walking home(not driving) get a breathilizer, on college campus. I have concluded that this will encourage 2 types of reaction. 1. People will drive home under the influence, and 2. people will use other substances that a breathilizer will not pick up on. The university is getting a new union, which the administration has used as an excuse not to upkeep the rest of the campus at all(minus the chapel). Unless you like walking through mud everywhere you go, i advise looking elsewhere. All in all, if you go here be you will get a quality education, but be very prepared to be constrained socially- every weekend.
