Syracuse University is a great school to attend. USNews ranked Syracuse for 2007-2008 the Top #50 National University.

Overall I've had a positive experience at this school. Students generally take their work very seriously, yet, never underestimate their power to party on the weekends.

It is true, at times the drinking can become a bit excessive, but the school as a whole does NOT put an emphasis on binge drinking… it is all a matter of personal preference. If you are not a very independent person and can fold easily to peer pressure, Syracuse University might not be the school for you. Some weeks I'll go out Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights… some weeks my girls will sit in the dorm and have movie marathons.

Greek life is a predominant program on campus, but it is not the only social scene available. I've recently picked up the sport of snowboarding and love it tremendously.

The weather sucks.. there is no doubt about that, but with the proper gear (big jacket, warm boots), walking to class is easy. The buildings are gorgeous and most are on the historically recorded on a national level.

I have a great group of friends, social/funny/intelligent/well rounded. The girls are typically gorgeous and come from good money, unfortunately, the men do not rank as high as the ladies in those categories. Fortunately, we have cute lacrosse players and a phenomenal basketball team.

Im sure the individuals who wrote negative reviews have good personal reason… but the school calls from an independence in ones self.. and through that you will grow and become an adult.

I will be attending Syracuse all 4 years.
