The University of Mary Washington

I originally chose Mary Washington for it's beautiful campus and 5year masters in Education. I really love the beauty of the campus as well as the size. About 4,000 students is on the low side which is exactly what I wanted. Walking down the main walk through campus I recognize more than 2/3rd of the people, even if i don't know their name. Most students seem unapproachable after the first few weeks of each semester, like they've already made all the friends they want and they don't need anymore which can be a disadvantage to those late bloomers or people who decide they need a change of friends.

I constantly find myself sitting in my room with nothing to do. Much of the homework is unoriginal and just busy work.

There is nothing to do on campus or off. especially if you're not really into partying. Transportation is also a bitch. the Fred totally sucks and there's no parking for people with cars.

HOWEVER, with all my bitching out, I've made such wonderful friends here, I love several of my professors and I would not go the a different college given the change. After all, college, as many things in life, is only as good as you make it. You must invest a little to get some back.
