Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I had the choice of coming to Monmouth or East Stroudsburg as a senior in high school. I visited ESU first then drove to Monmouth on the same day. Quite honestly, ESU was a dumphole compared to MU when talking about appearance. Which was a huge factor when I was choosing a school.Social life is nothing what the other people say. Those people probably sit in their room and wait for a party to start up next door or down the hall. Either you have to start the party or you have to know the right people. In order to do that you HAVE to get involved. There are so many different clubs on campus that one can get involved in. If there's not one that interests you, there's always the option of starting a club yourself. 9/10 times the club is going to get passed and you will get funding for it.What people say about the surrounding area is codswallop!(Come to monmouth..you'll learn what the word means…literally) There's so many places to go and things to do at those places. For example, the mall is less than 10 minutes away and if you don't have a car the university has shuttle buses every other weekend to and from the mall, every other hour. The beach is literally in walking distance and you definitely don't need a car when it's a mile down the road, and no one said riding a bike was against the law…or having a bike on campus. The city is also about an hour train or car ride away and there's endless things to do in there.Things that students can look forward to on campus are our famous chicken cheesesteaks at the dining hall and chicken quesadillas at the student center are to die for. There's always sports events going on during the fall and spring such as football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. Not to mention we are going to have an awesome new sports facility being built as i type this.In conclusion, Monmouth was my top choice not just within the two colleges i had been accepted to, but my top choice of colleges i applied to. I was iffy about the choice, but when i came and went on a tour my entire perspective of the University changed. The tour guides are awesome and the tour guides are spectacular. So if you're iffy, just come and schedule a visit/tour (ask for Kelly M. she's the best!!!). THen we'll see from there
