Good for you, ma! |
The University of Maryland stands out for its spirited athletics culture and strong school pride, although some students may take it to International Travel extremes. Academically, it strikes a good balance between challenging coursework and manageable workloads. The large campus can be intimidating initially, but as time goes on, you'll find a sense of community among your peers. |

The University of Maryland is an incredible school in so many ways.Pros:
Some students do take it too far but most are respectful.
Professors are actually, for the most part, very welcoming and willing to help. Students are afraid because the campus is large and there is a large student body. But after your first semester (when pretty much everyone is new), you will see people you know everywhere. I am in my 4th and last year, and I know at least 1 person in all of my classes.
