Although the University itself is beautiful and the education is decent, this school is strictly for those who were born and raised in the south. I strongly advise NOT to come here if you're not interested in worshiping your sorority/fraternity and you don't like trucks or country music. If Alabama football is not your current religion, you should be looking elsewhere. I've been here for 2 years now and although it's a great party school and I've certainly had my fun, I'm not the typical southern girl looking for a husband, so it's time for me to leave.

On the contrary, if you are looking for a southern party school, this school is perfect. It's a lot of fun and it's not too hard academically. Be prepared to join a sorority or fraternity if you want to have any social life or make any friends. The higher ranked your house is, the more fun you'll have. The Tuscaloosa police are pretty lenient and the bar scene is really good.
